According to Wikipedia, home staging is “the act of preparing a private residence for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money. Staging techniques focus on improving a property’s appeal by transforming it into a welcoming, attractive product that anyone might want.”
As a stager, I think this is just the surface.
A house gets more appealing with decorating and cleaning, but staging is much more than these. Staging is what you do after cleaning, painting, making minor repairs. Staging is dressing a house for sale.
Staging can only be successful if you know the answer for the following questions:
– Do you want to sell your house faster?
– Do you want more money for your property?
If your answer is yes, then you need a home staging service. A professional home stager is a highly skilled artist. They are the experts of creating moods in your home.
Home staging makes your house look brighter, bigger, cleaner, warmer, cosier and, best of all, it makes buyers want to buy it. Staging makes visitors focus on the advantages of your house. A stager creates a scenery that appeals to all five senses of the visitor.
As Barb Schwarz, President of The International Association of Home Staging Professionals stated, “Staging is preparing a home for sale so the buyer can mentally move in!”
